Hello, I'm Chandni!
I’m an insatiably curious person who often finds herself deep in rabbit holes, and tries to bring back interesting stories in the form of data essays. I get excited by good metaphors, unexpected connections, and discovering evidence of thoughtfulness in built environments.
I was born and raised in Madras/Chennai and have lived in many cities around the world including Delhi, Mumbai, Berlin, Nairobi, and now, NYC🗽
Outside of work, I write and illustrate children’s books, volunteer at the local library and public schools, and enjoy building small experiments that sometimes spiral into full-blown projects. I tend to maintain a rotating set of hobbies: some analog (printmaking, brush lettering, botanical illustrations), some digital (designing little apps for my friends, building digital archives on super-specialized topics).
This website is a digital archive of some of my past work -- projects, teaching, workshops, and writing. I hope to keep the page updated with all of my present and future adventures as well!
Thanks for stopping by.
